Res Fire Protection — Future Fire Hall Sites,

Comments: A report deaiing with future fire hall sites was prepared by the
Planning Officer and circulated to the Committee earlier this year.
i . The Cormittee has discuseed the Yeport in detail and have con-
H cluded that: two fire halls rather than three can adequately
service the City, ,

¢ that when the need ariges a hall be constructed at
Lincoln and Coast Meridian.

The question of the District of Coquitlam requirements were also
discussed. The Committee feels that should the district require
protection on the north side before the City under rakes construction
that a possible lease arrangement on the Lincoln Street site may

be’ considered provided the building is the first atage of a major
Hall for protection of the aorth side.
