I have received word from the Department of Municipal Affairs that
our application to the Federal Loan Programme for the cover on the Centennial
Swimming Pool las been approved. The other two projects, namely, the Phase
Il of the Port Recreation Centre and the Storm Drainage Construction have

been turned dow. The City Hall renovations have been submitted under the

Local Initiative Programme and I understand that these applications have

cleared the Department of Municipal Affairs and have been forwarded to the

federal authorities. No word of approval has been received to date.
