MEMBERSHIP

The past membership year ran from Sept. 1985 to June, 1986. As you may
recall, our Constitution has been amended and now reflects a year that starts
in January and ends in December, As well we have found it necessary to
increase the membership dues as follows.

Individual........-- $20 .00
Groups (2 or more) ..$30.00

Although the dues are higher, the next year will include the months
of Sept. to Dec. I98€ at no additional cost. In order to offset our expenses,
it would be greatly eppreciated if you could forward your renewals in Sept., as

THE JEAN A. CHALMERS FUND FOR THE CRAFTS

Again this year an amount of $50,000. will be available to the Canada Council
to rig special projects, research and special workshops for the crafts

in Canada.

These projects should contribute to the creative development of the professional
craft community.
