PARTICIPANT ORIGINS

Festival participants were asked to fill out one survey per travel group and to
indicate how many people were in the travel group. Each group surveyed was also
asked to indicate the first three letters of their postal code or their country of origin
in order to determine where they were from.

The participant survey reveals that 54% of groups surveyed are from the Nanaimo
area, 34% are from other areas of Vancouver Island, 3% are from Vancouver and
the Lower Mainland, 2% are from the rest of BC, 5% from the rest of Canada, and
2% from international destinations.
