Recommendations:

l. That the City of Port Coquitlam support the District of Coquitlam's
bid for the 1991 Summer Games.

2. That the City of Port Coquitlam would make available various
athletic facilities.

Background & Comments:

The Committee reviewed the letter from the District of Coquitlam
requesting any possible suppert for the 1991 Summer Games. The Parks
& Recreation Committee indicated that it would not be appropriate to
try and co-host the Summer Games; however, we can be of help in the
. supplying of various athletic facilities such as soccer fields,
lacrosse boxes, softball diamonds, etc. .
