SBSICLE XVIIL, COPE (£) Education Allowances The employer agrees to coatinue its present programme of education allowances on the following baais: (1) The course propoged to be taken by the employee auat be related, in the opinion of the City Administrator, to the euployee’a work with the City. (2) If an employee voluntarily leaves the service of the City with one (1) year of taking the course in which the City has financially participated then fifty percent (50%) of the financial assistance received must be repaid to the City. The employee must complete and pass the course taken and upon so doing, payment of one hundred percent (100%) of the course fees will be paid to the employee. (4) No limit will be placed on the number of people participating but the employer reserves the right to place a tudget limit on the amount available for payment of course fees and this amount will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
