Land Sales Comm.- From the Land Sales Committee, Feuruary 2nd, 1978 recommending that Feb. 2/78 re Benneck's consent be granted to Benneck's Marina for an extension of their present Marina water lease to include an area adjacent that was once occupied by the old Government Wharf provided: That provision is made for a 5 year lease; That consent stipulate access to adjacent owners is not cut off; AND THAT public access to the River be allowed, if boat launching facilities are constructed. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That as recommended by the Land Sales Committee, February 2nd, 1978 consent be granted to Benneck's Marina for an extension of their present water lease to include an area adjacent that was once occupied by the old Government Wherf, provided: That provision is made for a 5 year lease; That the consent stipulate access to adjacent owners is not to be cut off; AND THAT public access to the River be allowed. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution a brief discussion ensued on the water leases coming up for renewal in the next few years and the need for a City boat launch. Moved by Alderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Mabbett: That the proposal for the lease to Benneck's Marina be referred back to the Land Sales Committee for further consideration.
