EXPLANATORY INOTES

This Bill would ensure that no member of the House of
Commons shall sit therein and that no funds shall be made
available to the member for the carrying out of parliamen-
tary functions unless he or she takes an oath or makes a

solemn affirmation of loyalty to Canada and to the
constitution of Canada.

Clause 2: Subsection 13(2) at present reads as follows:

(2) Every oath and solemn affirmation and declaration under this
Part shall be in the Forms | and 2 in she schedule."
