Riecken Deputy City Engineer SUBJECT: Parking Restrictions Lane West of Shaughnessy South of Lions Way (Public Works Committee Meeting July 17, 1990) RECOMMENDATION : 1) That No Parking at Any Time restrictions be placed on both sides of the lane west of Shaughnessy between Lions Way and the CPR tracks. 2) That the City Clerk be directed to prepare an amendment to the Traffic Bylaw to reflect these restrictions 3) That $650.00 be allocated from the 1990 Public Works Capital Budget to cover the cost of installation of the necessary signs. BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS: The attached memorandum from the Parks and Recreation Director was reviewed by the Committee who agreed that vehicles parking along the lane were creating a hazardous situation for traffic wishing to enter or exit the parking lot.
