Carried. From the City Administrator, April 15th, 1982 regarding the sale of City Admin., municipal property in the 1300 Block Chelsea Avenue. Apr. 15/82 re Sale of Moved by Alderman Muldoon: Municipal Property - Seconded by Alderman Laking: 1300 Blk. : Chelsea. That a portion of Toronto Road and a portion of Stratford Road be stopped up and closed to traffic and offered for sale in conjunction with a portion of municipally owned property in the 1300 Block Stratford Street. THAT the minimum upset price for the 1.04 acres of property be $137,000.00 per acre; AND THAT the minimum upset price be effective for a six (6) month period. Prior to the question being called on the foregoing resolution Alderman Gates suggested that a restrictive covenant be placed on the property requiring the development of the property within the six month period. Moved by Alderman Gates: That the sale of municipal property in the 1300 Block Chelsea Avenue be approved as presented, subject to placing a restrictive covenant on the sale requiring development of the property within six months. Lost for want of a seconder. Alderman Mabbett suggested that the resolution be amended to change the effective period for the upset price from a six (6) month period to a three (3) month period.
