SUBJECT: Sale of Municipal Property 1300 Block Chelsea Avenue

RECOMMENDATION:

THAT a portion of Toronto Road and a portion of Stratford Road be Stopped up and
closed to traffic and offered for sale in conjunction with a portion of municipally
owned property on the 1300 block Stratford Street;

AND THAT the minimum upset price for the 1.04 acres of property be $137,000.00 per
acre.

AND FURTHER THAT the minimum upset price be effective for a six (6) month period.

BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:

In the fall of 1981 the Municipal Council set the price of $200,000.00 per acre
based on an appraisal by Severn, Buchan and Associates Limited. In view of the
time delay an appraisal update was done and it is now suggested that a price of
$137,000.00 per acre be established. ;
