March 24th, 1982. A Special meeting of the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Hyde Creek Centre Gymnasium, | 1379 Laurier Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on March 24th, 1982 at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay, Alderman M.D. Gates, G.R. Laking, M.R. Wright, =.W. Mabbett, D.J. Vater, A.K. Muldoon in attendance. Also in attendance were Chief Administrative Officer B.R. Kirk, Director of Community Planning W. Brown, and City Clerk R.A. Freeman. Appr ximately 75 members of the public were in attendance. His Worship Mayor LL.M. Traboulay stated that this special Council meeting had been called for the single purpose of receiving presentations fron groups or individuals respecting garbage disposal options including the proposal of the Greater Vancouver Regional District to use a site at Pitt Polder for a landfill operation. Wildlife Federation; represented by Mr. Martin Hubbard. Pitt Meadows Field Naturalist Club; represented by Mr. Ken Vandenbeck. Katzie Indian Band; represented by Chief Carl Leon. Middleton Pig Farm; represented by Messrs. David Pullen and Dick Middleton. Vancouver Natural History Society; represented by Mr. Keith Hobson. Society Promoting Environmental Conservation; represented by Mesdames. Julie Koehn and Cathy Fox. Pitt Meadows Farmer's Institute; represented by Mr. Pat Freeman who also presented some of his own views.
