A By-law to acquire real property by expropriation required

by The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam for the widening of a highway

ein the City. - .

WHEREAS the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of

Port Coquitlam has found'it necessary for the better flow of traffic to widen

that portion of the Lougheed Highway fronting that parcel of real property
described as Lot 43, Block 5, District Lot 464, Group One, Plan 21271 New
Westminster District to provide for the construction of a right-hand turn lane
for use by traffic wishing to turn south into Shaughnessy Street;

AND WHEREAS pursuant to Section 513 of the "Municipal Act" being

Chapter 255 R.S.B.C. 1960, as amended, the Municipal Council may by by-law

enter upon, expropriate, break-up, take or enter into possession of and use any

¥eal property in anyway necessary or convenient for the aforesaid purposes;

THEREFORE the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of
Port Coquitlam, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows:

i. Pursuant to Section 513.and subject to Division (4) of Part XII of

the "Municipal Act" being Chapter 255 R.S.3.C. 1960, as amended, the Municipal
Council of Yhe Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam is hereby authorized
to enter upon, expropriate, break-up, take and enter into possession of and

use for the purpose of widening a portion of the Lougheed Highway:~

“ALL AND SINGULAR that certain parcel or tract of land and premises

‘situate, lying and being in the City of Port Coquitlam, in the

. Province of British Columbia and being more particularly known

and described as:~

All and singular that certain piece, parcel or tract of land and
premises, situate, lying and being a portion of Lot 43, Block 5,
District Lot 464, Group One, Plan 21271, New Westminster District,
being more .particularly described as follows:

Commencing at the southeast corner of said Lot 43, thence following
the boundary of said Lot 43 adjoining Lougheed Highway on a bearing of
N58-11-40W, a distance of 218.81 feet, more or less, to the northwest
corner of said Lot 43; . : :
