3523 St. Anne Street, Port Coquitlam, B.C. November 30th, 1976 Mr. R.A. Freeman, City Clerk, City of Port Coquitlam, City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. Dear Mr. Freeman: Re: Proposed By~law Amendment ~ Racing Pigeons With reference to your letter captioned as above of November 26th, 1976, please be advised that I, John A. Macdonald, residing at the address you mentioned, 3523 St. Anne Street, have occupied these premises as of the 1st of June, 1976. . Insofar as the pigeons are concerned, they are of no nuisance or anything whatsoever to me or my family. Three of us (adults) reside here and we have often marvelled at these pigeons. They have their own pigeon loft which is situated about 4' away from my fence line. Mr. DeVries certainly controls his pigeons. They are not flying around at will all the time. He controls their coming and going and when they return from a flight they alight on the rcof of their own particular little building to which they have their own access and egress. They do not alight on my house or they do not come down into the yard and I presume it is because of the fact that they are a particular breed of pigeon that they do not alight anywhere but on their cwn pigeon house. ‘In conclusion, I would again reiterate that these pigeons do not cause us any nuisance or annoyance in any way whatsoever. Yours very truly, oe Lh. > P “E Ce dre alc, ”. if i y , om John A. Macdonald “““’ Pita LE EAE. Residence telephone: 941-6544
