That a $600 contribution be made to Pitch-in Britisl Columbia for the May 3-9 1993
Pitch-in Week campaign.

That the funds for this contribution be allocated from the 1992 Envirommental
Protection Budget,

The Environmental Protection Committers considered the attached memorandum from the
Project Engineer dated November 20, 1992 regarding the request for finding for the 1993
Pitch«in week campaign,

Pitch-in week, held May 3-9, 1993 encourages community groups and schools to collect litter
from urban, rural and wildemess areas. Pitch-in Canada provides the City with collection bags
and information brochures which are diatritvuted to the participants in the event.

Last year the City coordinated aver 1500 local community groups and schiools involved in the
program, In 1991 the City made a similar contribution towards this years Pitch-in week
campaign.
