That Council approve the removal of approximately 200 metres of existing
damaged curb and placement cf 200 metres of 1 metre wide gravel shoulder along
the south side of the Lougheed-Meridian frontage road at an estimated cost of

$4,745.

That $4,745 be allocated from the Special Public Works Capital Reserve Fund for
this purpose.

There is approximately 200 metres of existing extruded concrete curb which has been broken
and pushed aside along the south side of the Lougheed-Meridian frontage road near the Best
Westem Motel. It would cost an estimated $8,138 for replacement of a new concrete curb and
$4,745 for the placement of a 1 metre wide gravel shoulder at this location. |

A gravel shoulder would allow vehicle parking at this location and is less costly. It is therefore
recommended that the 200 metres of damaged curb be replaced with a gravel shoulder at the

estimated cost of $4,745,
