On behalf of the Lion's Clubs of Zone H-5, I would like to obtain approval for our group to hold our 1992 Journey For Sight in the City of Port Coquitlam. This function is a walk-a-thon type event to raise funds to aid the Visually impaired members of our communities. This event will bring Participants from not only your city, but also Coquitlam, Port Moody, New Westminster and Surrey. The route we have chosen to follow is the one that is used for the Terry Fox Run.The date we have >: osen, with your approval, is Saturday May 2, 1992. The Lion's c1- 3 will make all arrangements for security, traffic control, firs aid and insurance. As this route also takes in part of Coquit! “, We have also requested the approval of the Coquitlam Council. & Will also have a liason with the R.C.M.P.. | We feel that this is a Project that will benefit both the Visually impaired and the community. If you desire, I wil] attend a meeting of council to provide you vith further detajls.
