Alderman Traboulay suggested that the R.C.M.P. and the public be asked for their views and the request be reviewed by the Traffic Committee. Mrs. Mackwell of 3664 Oxford Street was also present and she advised that she supported the request and also asked that the trees in the Coquitlam Park be trimmed to allow better vision of the intersection. Moved by Alderman Keryluk: Seconded by Alderman Wright: That a four-way STOP be installed at the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Oxford Street. Carried. Aldermen Ranger and Traboulay voted against the resolution. Moved by Alderman Keryluk: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That the District of Coquitlam be requested to trim the trees in the Park at Lincoln Avenue and Oxford Street. Carried. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: From the Public Works Committee, September 27th, 1979 advising of the meeting held with Mr. Vic Sharman of B.C. Hydro Transit. The City Engineer gave further information received from Mr. Sharman on the use of the Recreation Centre Parking lot for commuters. Alderman Keryluk expressed concern regarding the length of time it takes students to travel to Simon Fraser University and asked the press to publicize a request to contact the City Clerk advising of. the time they travel and the length of travelling time to reach their designation.
