Mayor & Aldermen June 21 7 R.A. Freeman, City Clerk : C lJ C JUN 27 1977 Re: Council Meetings - July and August Members of Council will recall that under the Council meeting schedule approved earlier this year it is proposed that the Council meet on July 11th and 25th and on August 8th and 22nd during the two summer months. We have now checked with each Council member concerning his particular vacation plans and we find that a quorum of Council will not be available for the July 25th meeting nor will a quorum be available for the immediately Wey eae AE Er stern preceding week, July 18th, when no meeting is scheduled to be held. This . means that after the meeting of July llch the earliest date upon which a meeting a ee, could be held is Monday, August Ist, but this is the Statutory Holiday for British Columbia Day. Might we suggest that the regular meeting schedule of the Council be left as it is (except, of course, for the cancellation of et DEAR ay NA July 25th) and that the Mayor be requested to call a special meeting of the Council during the week of August Ist if it should become necessary. Five members of Council will be available during that week to deal with any press- ing matters that arise and the regularly scheduled meeting of August 8th will have all members of Council in attendance. Incidentally, five members of Council will be available for the July llth meeting and six members of Council will be available for the August 22nd meeting. May we have the Council's instructions please. TQ Any nn) City Clerk
