After preparing this reso- lution for our convention in April we must ensure the free- ist, fullest, frankest and most self-critical discussion through- out our party.” Kashtan stressed the need to carefully assess the main trends ie in the country and the scope of ae the mass movements that have 4 arisen. “We need,” he said, ‘‘to y see the role our party should | play in them, that it help unite them as an effective force in the political life of our coun- try.” $ monopoly coalition to take into account the diversity of the movements, some of which have an anti-imperialist charac- ter and the classes involved?” “We see,” he said, “processes which would indicate the pos- sibility of a national, demo- cratic, anti-monopoly, anti- imperialist coalition led by the working class and the Commu- nist Party.
