Py Ife fet a eee DUTIES OF THE BUTLRING INSPECTORS 4.1. Fach Building Inspector shall: 4.1.1. administer this Bylaw; 4.1.2. keep records of applications received, permits and orders issued, inspections and tests made, and shall retain copies of all papers and documents connected with the administration of this Bylaw for a minimum of six years; establish whether the method or type of construction or material used in the construction of building or structure conforms with thea requirements and provisions of the Suilding Code. The duties created under this Part are internal administrative duties only and create no obligation to any person other than the Council of the City. POWERS OF THE BUILDING INSPECTORS S.1. A Building Inspector: 5.1.1. may enter any land, building or premises at any reasonable time for the purpose of ascertaining that the requiations of this Bylaw are being observed; 0 . . where any residence is ‘occupied, shall obtain the consent of the occupant or provide written notice twenty-four hours in advance of entry; and 5.1.3. shall carry proper credentials contirming his or her status as a Building inspector. A Building Inspector may revoke or refuse to issue a permit where the results of tests of materials, devices, construction methods, structural assemblies or foundation conditions are not satisfactory. A Building Inspector may order the correction of any work which is being or has been improperly done under a permit. APPLICATIONS 6.1. Every person shall apply for and obtain: 6.1.1. a building permit “afore constructing, repairing or altering a building or structure; 6.1.2. a plumbing permit before installing, repairing or altering any plumhrag-enw r works as set out in Section 3.2; ang EA PAGE
