THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM C ¢ UJ N C

A Bylaw to provide for the payment of sn indemiity to the Mayor and Taw bo

Aldermen of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitiam.

WHEREAS under and by virtue of Section 267 of the "Municipal Act" being
Chepter 290 of the Revised Statutes of British Columbia, 1979, the Council
may by bylaw provide for paying out of the annual revenue an indemity to
the Mayor and Aldermen of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlem, end
may provide that a portion of the said indemity to be paid to the Mayor and
Aldermen shall be paid aa an allowance for expenses incidental to the
discharge of the duties of their respective offices;

NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of

Port Coquitlam, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows:

1. Ouring the period extending from the First Monday after the First day
of December, 1982 to the First Monday after the First day of December, 1983,
there shall be paid to the Mayor of The Corporation of the City of Port
Coquitlam an indemnity of $26,775.00 per annum of which said indemnity the

sum of $8,925.00 shall be paid as an allowance for expenses incidental to

the discharge of the duties of his office.

2. During the period extending from the First Monday after the First day

of December, 1982 to the First Monday after the First day of December, 1983,

there shall be paid to each of the Aldermen of The Corporation of the City

of Port Coquitlam an indemnity of $8,190.00 per annum of which said

indemnity the sum of $2,730.00 shall be peid as an allowance for expenses

incidental to the discharge of the duties of the office of Alderman.
