April 14th, 1980. /1k. Alderman Traboulay advised he has received complaints regarding litter around the newspaper carrier pick-up boxes. Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Seconded by Alderman Wright: That the three newspapers serving Port Coquitlam be advised of the increasing number of incidents regarding Litter around the newspaper carrier pick-up boxes located in this City. Carried. Alderman Keryluk asked regarding an update on the proposed Techram development at Lougheed Highway and Westwood Street and the City Solicitor was able to provide some clarification and stated the City should be advised in approximately one week. Alderman Keryluk spoke regarding the Mary Hill By-pass and asked for an update of the project and a report to Council which was provided by Mayor Laking. Alderman Keryluk asked for a written report from the Ministry of Highways and Mayor Laking undertook to obtain such a report. Alderman Keryluk advised the Winter Carnival made a profit this year and that a complete report would be forthcoming at an early date. Alderman Gates reported on the Simon Fraser Board of Health meeting held regarding the proposed Eagle Ridge Hospital.
