From the Public Works Committee, June 29th, 1979 advising that the

Director of Traffic Engineering in Victoria has authorized the use of

traffic signal poles for mounting large street name signs on Lougheed

Highway.

Seconded by Alderman Mabbett:

That as recommended by the Public Works Committee, June 29th, 1979
new street name signs be installed at the five main intersections on the
Lougheed Highway;

AND THAT the cost of these signs be provided for under the 1979
budget if possible or otherwise in the 1980 budget.

From the Public Works Committee, June 29th, 1979 recommending that
a triangular portion of the corner at 1766 Western Drive be improved
with a limestone chip surface by the City and the curb along Lamprey be
extended for the frontage of 1766 Western Drive to reduce short—cutting
by cyclists.
