"THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM REPORT APR - 3 1978 TO: Mayor and Council March 28th, 1978 FROM: Public Works Committee Report from the Public Works Committee Meeting held March 16th, 1978 at 3:45 p.m, IN ATTENDANCE: Alderman E.W. Mabbett Alderman L.M. Traboulay V.G. Borch, P. Eng. ITEM I Re: Proposed Commercial Development - 2331 - 2337 - 2341 Marpole Avenue At the March 20th, 1978 Council Meeting, the Committee Chairman recommended that the offsite development costs totalling $63,148.00 be reduced by one-half the watermain installation cost, that is $6,000.00, and this was accepted by Council. The Committee was also asked to look at a possible one~ way lane system. The Committee recommends that no further one-way lanes be established in the downtown area until a system can be fully established as follows: Lane West of Shaughnessy - One-way Northbound Lane East of Shaughnessy - One-way Southbound. ITEM IT Re: Marpole Liquor Store - Parking on Chevron Property Attached is a letter dated March 23rd, 1978 to Chevron Canada Limited. The Committee feels that the provision of a sub-lease will enable the City to regulate the parking on the Chevron property and will provide a greater degree of contin- uation of the parking than now exists. Respectfully submitted, (foe V.G. Borcl Eng., City Engineer.
