Centennial Pool Enclosure:

Mr. V.G. Borch, P. Eng., advised the Committee of his and Mr. Griffith's

meeting with Ron Davies and Associates. He pointed out that the earliest the

covering of the pool would be completed according to Ron Davies and Associates
would be June 20th and this did not appear to be a firm commitment. In view of _
this the following recommendation was passed. |

That in view of the unsatisfactory nature of the facility designed for

_the Port Coquitlam Centennial swimming pool with regard to timing, cost and design

the Parks and Recreation Committee are not prepared to Tecommend proceeding with :

Refurbishing of Aggie Hall: . :

Mr. Frank Finlay of the Kinsmen Club of Port Coquitlam attended the

meeting and outlined a project of the Kinsmen Club to refurbish the Aggie Hall

as a main project for their club to be finished as money, volunteer helpSSérmits.

The Parks and Recreation Committee recommend to Council consideration

of the proposal by Mr. Finlay for the refurbishiry of Aggie Hall as requested subject

to their plans being approved by the City. Carried.

Summer and Winter Seasons at the Arena:

It has become necessary to establish a summer and winter season for the

REcreation Centre. In light of the fact that the Summer programme is to include

lacrosse, indoor basketball, indoor tennis, indoor volleyball, games and roller :
