HYDRO*S PROPOSAL FOR LIQUIFIED NATURAL GAS STORAGE PLANT The Greater Vancouver Regional District's (GVRD) public information hearing -on B.C. Hydro's proposal for a liquified natural gas storage plant at loco will be & Thursday, April 1. It will be at Pleasantside Elementary School, 195 Barber Street in Port Moody Starting at 7:30 p.m. The GVRD's Electoral Areas Canmittee, chaired by West Vancouver Mayor Derrick © Humphreys, will conduct the meeting. Ioco is located in the GVRD's Electoral Area '3', between Port Moody and Belcarra. The proposed LNG plant would be located between Sasamat Lake and Hydro’s Burrard thermal plant. Several months ago the GVRD retained Dr. Douglas Napier of the University of Toronto Department of Chemical Engineering and Applied Science to evaluate Hydro's risk analysis report relating to the proposed plant. Copies of the report may be viewed at the Port Moody City Hall, Port Moody Public Library, Lincoln Branch Coquitlam Public Library and the GVRD Information office, 2024 West 12th Ave. » Vancouver. The meeting will open with a presentation on the LNG proposal by Hydro officiais. This will be followed by questions and comments from the public.
