Since corresponding with the Committee in October, Mr. Grist had successfully obtained some guarantees from the G.V.R.D. and he felt this would be sufficient for the next tsro or three years until they get longer term plans finalized. They would like to obtaia a deep well with direct feed to their hatchery to guaraatee future continuous water supply. PROGRAM received a report from the Project Engineer indicating that the storm drain marking program sponsored by the Provincial Government was now being implemented in Port Coquitlam and the marking kits were available in the Engineering Department. So far the Girl Guides will use the kits as soon as weather The Committee permits. ITEN IX P~ SIGNS FOR COQUITLAN RIVER FLOOD CO¹ROL PROJECT The Committee considered a request from Fnvironment Canada f or the installation of signs along the Coquitlam River Flood Control Prefect (Dykes). Environment Canada suhnitted two designs for Ooe design contained a pictorial map showing the dyked area consideration. and explaining the purpose of the fish habitat area. The other design had the same basic information but without the map. The committee re"ommends Council that they accept the design with the map and so advise Environment Canada.
