I Is I I s H P CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES I That the minutes of the meeting of the Parks & Recreation Committee held cn Wednesday, March 26th, 1986, be taken as read and adopted. Item No 1 Hvde Cr eek Feasibilitv Studv over vari.ous aspects of the propo ed expansion at Hyde Creek Centre. Areas and ocneerns discussed were racquetball/squash Ken Weber went courts, whirlpool, tot pool, sauna, aerobic area, gymnastic area, elevator, roof, judo and many more. Ken noted that the Committee's concerns and indicated that he would come back and meet with the Committee again on April 14th at 3r45 p.m. It was also recommended that the final public information meeting be held in May; exeat date to be determined shortly. Reeommendationr That the verbal report by Ken Weber be received CARRIED Item No Thomcson Park — Bronco Diamond The attached memorandum was Hoogendoorn. received from Bras Recommendation That the backstop for the bronco diamond be looated on Brown Road. CARRIED /2. Stem No. ~errv Fox Librarv Vandalism The attached memorrndum was received from Br am Hoogendoor n in regard to various problems we are having at the Terry Fox Library. The Committee's opinion is that in order to solve the problem, we would need to erect another lamp post or two with lights; and that this solution was not appropriate at this time. However, it was suggested by Alderman Laking that Vandal Watch be requested to patrol the area of the library, 7-Eleven and lacrosse box on Friday and Saturday nights. — Recommendation: request to Vandal Watch to patrol area around Terry Fox Library.
