A meeting of the Parks & Recreation Committee was held in the
Council Chambers on Wednesday, April 2nd, 1986, at 3r45 p.m.
In attendance were Alderman George Laking and Alderman Mike
Farnworth.
Also in attendanoe were K. Jaune Taylor, Parks & Recreation
Director and Ken Webber (Item No. 1).

Committee held cn Wednesday, March 26th, 1986, be taken as read
and adopted.

Ken Weber went

more. Ken noted that the Committee's concerns and
indicated that he would come back and meet with
the Committee again on April 14th at 3r45 p.m. It
was also recommended that the final public
information meeting be held in May; exeat date to
be determined shortly.

The attached memorrndum was received from Br am
Hoogendoor n in regard to various problems we are
having at the Terry Fox Library. The Committee's
opinion is that in order to solve the problem, we
would need to erect another lamp post or two with
lights; and that this solution was not appropriate
at this time. However, it was suggested by
Alderman Laking that Vandal Watch be requested to
patrol the area of the library, 7-Eleven and
lacrosse box on Friday and Saturday nights.

Hvde Creek

Indoor Pool

The Committee reviewed the attached memorandum
from Mayor Traboulay. It was agreed to invite the
secretary treasurer to the next Committoe meeting
on the i'easibility study of Hyde Creek Centre.

Recommendation:

That the memorandum from Mayor Traboulay be
adopted.
