From the Health Committee, January 25th, 1973 referring to a resolution sent Health Comm re land clearing legislation to the Union of British Columbia Municipalities and subsequent correspondence with the Premier and the Minister of Municipal Affairs regarding the inadequacy of the current legislation on the cutting of trees and maintaining of natural amenities to the land, and stating that the Departuent of Municipal Affairs had advised the Chairman of the Committee that legislation was being considered; however, it was concerned about the effect of blanket legislation in municipalities where forest management licenses were™in effect.
