V3C 129 ~ 21 Mareh, 1994 Mayor L. Traboulay, City of Port Coquitlam, BC. Dear Mr. Mayor: Poe ae wt We, as owners and taxpayers, would like to voice our opposition to the buiiding which is proposed for lots 2342 and 2346 on Marpole Avenue in Port Coquitlam. We are not against the construction of a nine storied building per se, but we feel that the centre of downtown is not the ideal place for it, for many reasons. Why not con- struct the usual four levels and the high rise a few blocks from the city centre? We were under the impression that the maximum building height in our city was four floors, when and how was the By~ Law changed to nine? Tf you allow this buiiding to be erected you are going to change the comfortable small-town image of Port Coquitlam forever. If you, as Mayor, elected to that position by the residents, do not have a major input into this plan, then we Can only assume that your Director of Planning must be a very powerful man. ' Respectfully submitted, kor hae ¥ Mr and Mrs C.E.
