PROJECT DESCRIPTIGN AND BACKGROUND: This rezoning application affects property identified for some years now for the location of a courthouse. Approval of this application will permit the construction of the “Port Coquitlam Provincial Courthouse" totalling a building area of 17,186 square meters (185,000 square feet) on the property. The building design closely follows the guidelines for the Downtown Area in the Official Community Plan, and should reinforce the character of this area of the City. con't page 2
