sketches for the improvements to the lane east of
Shaughnessy between Kingsway and Elgin they are as follows:

1) Turn the lane into a ‘one WayY' going north to Kingsway

Advantages: |
allows traffic to access Parking lots at peak
hour
eases traffic congestion at Elgin during rush
hour
Lnexpensive solution
reduces traffic volume on a narrow lane
Disadvantages: a
- does not alleviate hazardous turning movements
from lane onto Kingsway
will inconvenience public trying to make the
short cut at evening rush hour .
