Re: Arnott-Kidd #2 Transmission Line

Further to your letter of February 28 regarding the
A4rnott-Kidd #2 transmission line and my letter of March 12
indicating that the matter was being reconsidered, I write to
advise that the B. C. Hydro Board of Directors has considered
the matter in some depth, and has decided that there is no
practical alternative to proceeding with the construction as
planned.

As you will see from the attached letter from Mr.
Cass-Beggs to the Acting Mayor of Delta, an underground routing
would cost $14,250,000 compared to $3,520,000 for the present
contract,
