October 4th, 1976 on the grounds of the density of the development in relation to the surrounding area and it was noted by the Planning Officer that this area had been zoned for apartment use for some time. Mr. Routley also noted, at this time, that following installation of a watermain on Fraser Avenue, the front of his property had not been returned to its original state as had been promised prior to the work commencing. The City Engineer advised that due to the type of materials being used the road shoulder will take some time to harden and he assured Mr. Routley that, following further maintenance, the boulevard would be as good or better than it was prior to any work being done. Following a brief discussion it was agreed that the Works and Utilities Superintendent would inspect the site te ensure that the driveway and pathway are easily accessible. There being no further discussion for or against the preceding rezoning proposals, the Public Hearing was then concluded and the regular meeting commenced at 8:20 p.m. CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES: Minutes - Moved by Alderman Ranger: /September 27th Seconded by Alderman Lakine: That the minutes of the regular meeting of this Council held on September 27th, 1976 be taken as read and adopted. DELEGATION: | Delegation The City Clerk advised that Mr. Dave Thompson, representing the Olympus Sports ¢ Club (D.Thompson)Olympus Sports Club, was in attendance on the invitation of the Council { '& P.C.A.ALA. : (f. Barrett) and Mr. Ted Barrett representing the Port Coquitlam Amateur Athletic , re grant request. : Association was present as well. Mayor Campbell invited Mr. Thompson to address the Council. Mr. Thompson indicated that he was, as he had done previously, asking for a grant for each participating boy in the Olympus Sports Club, such as granted to the P.C.A.A.A. In reply toa question from Alderman Thompson, Mr. Thompson advised that the Club had not, in fact, approached the Board regarding a grant from the P.C.A.A.A. but he was of the opinion that due to the P.C.A.A.A. policy, such a grant would not be approved. Mr. Barrett confirmed that no application had been presenteé by the Olympus Sports Club to the P.C.A.A.A. Board and that should such an application be received, it would be duly considered by the Board. Mr. Barrett also outlined briefly for the Council's information, the operation of the P.C.A.A.A.
