u ores reve September 20th, 1976 A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chamber, Port Coquitlam City Hall,'2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B. C., on September 20th, 1976, at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor J.M. Campbell, Aldermen J.J. Keryluk, G.R. Laking, E.W. Mabbett, P.F. Ranger. M.A. Thompson, and L.M. Traboulay in attendance. Also in attendance were Chief Administrative Officer L.D. Pollock, City Clerk R.A. Freeman, City Engineer V.C. Borch, P. Eng., and Planning Officer Lanson Lee. CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES: Minutes -—Sept. 13/76 i Moved by Alderman Keryluk: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That the minutes of the regular meeting of this Council held on September 13th, 1976, be taken as read and adopted. Carried. DELEGATIONS : Temple Baptist: Church~moving | Church bldg. - to 2934 Burns . on ptoperty in Port Coquitlam located at 2934 Burns Road. It was noted Road From the Temple Baptist Church, September 20th, 1976, requesting permission to move a.Church building from the City of Port Moody and store it that the request was ieceived in the late afternoon today and that representatives were present this evening in support thereof, Alderman Laking pointed out that the property at 2934 Burns Road is zoned for Agricultural use and as it is located in the Flood Plain area, would require approval from the Agricultural Land Commission; also, there would be a problem getting the building into the City as it exceeds the 14' height limit on the Coquitlam River bridge; however, Mr. C. Arthur, acting as spokesman for the group, stated he had been advised by the moving firm that the building could be moved across on the new span presently under construction. Alderman Thompson stated his concern as to whether the property would be an appropriate site for a Church and whether the land could be removed from the Agricultural land freeze for that purpose. The City Planning Officer advised that the entire area in which the property is located is designated on the Regional Plan for Agricultural use, and as a Church is an Urban use, the site would have to be re-designated to an Urban category. Mr. Arthur mentioned that there is some urgency to move the Church building from its present site as construction of a warehouse thereon has already commenced. Alderman Traboulay suggested that the request be referred to the Planning & Zoning Committee for study; however, Alderman Laking pointed out that even if the Agricultural
