COQUITLAM wow gy i BY-LAW NO, 1307 e U j MAR 2 5 1874 A By-law to provide for payment of an indemnity to the Mayor and Aldermen of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam for the year 1974, WHEREAS under cad by virtue of Section 200 of the "Mundctpal Act", being Chapter 255 of the Revised Statutes of British Columbia, 1960, and Amendments thereto, the Council may by by-law provide for paying out of the annual revenue an indemnity to the Mayor and Aldermen of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam, and nay provide that a portion of the said indemnity to be paid to the Mayor and Aldermen shall be paid as an allowance for expenses incidental to the discharge of the duties cof their respective offices; NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows: 1. There shall be paid to the Mayor of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam in the year 1974 an indemnity of Eight Thousand Five Hundred ($8,560.00) Dollurs per annum of which said indemnity of the sum of Two Thousand Eight Hundred Thirty-three Dollars and Thirty-three Cents ($2,833.33) shall be paid as an allowance for expenses incidental to the discharge of the duties of his office. 2. There shall be paid to each of the Aldermen of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam ia the year 1974 an indemnity of Four Thousand ($4,000.00) Dollars per annum of which said indemnity the sum of One Thousand Three Hundred Dollars and Thirty-three Cents ($1,333.33) shall be paid as an allowance for expenses incidental to the discharge of the duties of his office. 3. The Indemity provided for in Sections One (1) and Two (2) hereof shail be paid monthly by the City Treasurer to the person or persons entitled to receive same without order or resolution of the Council, save and except as hereinacter provided. 4. Sheuld any member of Council be absent from four (4) consecutive regular Council meetings or more, the indemnity that would be due were he not so absent shall not be paid to him except by unanimous vote of the remainde: of the members ef Council. | 5.
