Mountaineers recruiting

A SMALL proup of local mountaineers are looking for new
recruits willing to tackle the wilds in winter.

You don’t have to be completely crazy to go winter
mountaineering, but you should be a hardy, keen outdoors per-
son,

“It’s much mare difficult than summer trips because you’re up
against all the elements,”’ says Shawn Dimitrov.
Anyone interested needs good winter clothing, footwear and
. camping equipment. . ,
Dimitrov says they’re willing to show newcomers rope-
techniques, so extensive experience is not necessary.
