In recent years batteries have been
introduced as a means of housing lay-
‘ing poultry birds. In order that those
unfamiliar with their qualities may
gain au idea of the possibilities of this
type of eqnipment the experience. ob

farm at Ottawa is briefly reviewed.

One of the most important contri-
butions of the laying battery is that of
