WEINSTEIN Vancouver-Burrard JACK GILLETT Vancouver Centre LPP on first CBC TV show * The Labor-Progressive party participated for the first time this week in the .CBC’s ‘free- time’ political telecast. Featur- ed in the first LPP TV show- ing, which appropriately was on the evening of Labor Day, were Mrs. Evelyn Burnell and Frank Gaspar, Delta candida- tes, Charles Caron, North Van- couver candidate, and Nigel Morgan, LPP provincial lead- er and one of the two LPP. candidates in Vancouver Cen- tre. In the telecast Morgan chal- lenged Social Credit resources policy, charging that “the Ben- nett giveaways even put the Liberal - Tory Coalition to shame.” Central theme of the 10- minute show was the LRP platform to stop the U.S. grab of B.C. resources and develop them instead for the benefit of the people in order to pro- vide the maximum number of job opportunities; to eX- tend public ownership to all power facilities, provide a. new deal for the municipalities, and to add to the benefits of Hospital Insurance full medic- al and doctor coverage. * Niyrtle Burnell, 199 CANDIDATES CCF, SC, Liberals stances, six-way contests.
