Fédération des francophones de la Colombie-Britannique Annual Report 2002-2003 > Communications The 2002-2003 directory of services in French — L’Annuaire des services en francais The 19th edition of the Annuaire des services en francais en Colombie-Britannique was unveiled on September 19, 2002 in the entrance hall of the Maison de la francopho- nie and Centre culturel francophone de Vancouver. This year, the Annuaire offers an even wider variety of products and services available in French across the province though Francophone organizations, businesses and federal institutions. From left to right: There is one significant addition to the Annuaire: a new directory of Francophone healthcare providers in British Columbia, which is a real step forward for our community. This year, 188 advertisers contributed to the current edition of the Annuaire, which had a print run of more than 10,000 copies. The Annuaire is more than just a valuable source of information on French-language services in British Columbia; it is also an Hedy Fry (MP for Vancouver Centre), Pascal Bouchard (winner of the contest), Claude Provencher (President of the FFCB), Yseult Friolet (Executive Director of the FFCB) opportunity for a B.C. Francophone artist to have their work displayed on the front cover. As it does every year, the Fédération des fran- cophones de la Colombie-Britannique launched a cover contest open to all Francophone visual artists in the province. This year, the contest winner was a young graphic designer from our community, Pascal Bouchard. The Annuaire is available on the FFCB Web site at: www.ficb.bc.ca and regular updates mean that advertisers can register or make changes throughout the year. E-mail management program In November of 2001, the FFCB purchased an e-mail management program (which will allow us to manage distribution lists for sending information and documents). We also have the option of asking people to register on our Web site. We will then be able to couple the existence of our Internet site with the ability to send our publications and documents via the Web. The goal is to reduce our printing and mailing costs.
