SUBJECT: City Property - Kingsway/Mary Hill Road

Recommendation:

That the City place 'no post barriers' along the north and
east perimeter of a City owned lot at the corner of Mary.
Hill and Kingsway.

Poco Building Supplies at the corner of Mary Hill and
Kingsway were notified by the Bylaw Dept. to clean Elgin
Street of mud sand debris from trucks leaving the NW lot at
the. corner of Elgin and Mary Hill Road.

This lot is used as a pull in by trucks delivering lumber
and other materials. to the. Building. ‘supply business across
the street. The existing lot hag no gravel base, with the
wet. weather the heavy trucks turn the area into a ‘mud hole!
which ends up on Elgin and Mary. Hill Rd. -

The Building Supply management have informed the writer. that
they now intend to lease the let for employee parking thus>
eliminating the truck movement on the lot. (see attached |
sketch for location). : | :

A request: was then made ta block off the entrance to the
City owned lot. with 'no post" barricades eliminating trucks.

Another. request was made to eliminate the grass boulevard in.
front of the Building Supply store so as to increase
available parking. The existing boulevard is grassed and is
maintained by City. crews. e grass boulevard is removed.
a sidewalk should take it be mplete with barrier curb)
