Eng., City Engineer SUBJECT: Replacement of Pump Station Alarm Panels (Public Works Committee Meeting March 28, Recommendations: That approximately $12,100 be allocated from the 1990 Sewer Capital Budget for the purpose of making the necessary repairs and modifications to the Gity‘s Pump Station Alarm Panel. Background and Comments: The attached meno from the Assistant Operations Manager provides a concise summary of the events leading up to the repairs to the City's Pump Station Alarm Panel located in No. 1 Fire Halil. Council's attention is drawn to the two phases of the work involved. The first phase consisted of the necessary renedial works to bring the alarm system back to normal operation. As indicated in the attached report this work igs now completed at a cost of $7,300. The second phase of the work will consist of transferring the remaining old hardware to the new Edwards alarm panel. The preventative measures taken in the second phase will eliminate the need for emergency repairs to the remaining old alarm panel in the future.
