SUBJECT: Two~hour parking zone on Coquitlam Avenue -
Public Works Committee, April 20, 1982

RECOMMENDATION:

That parking be restricted to a maximum of two hours
between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday to
Saturday on both sides of Coquitlam Avenue, west of Chester

Street.

BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:

The commercial properties on this dead-end section
of Coquitlam Avenue have requested that we implement a limited
time parking zone on the street in front of their properties
to assist their customers in finding a parking spot. There
are three businesses affected. It appears that this section
of street is being used by commuters for all-day parking as it
is convenient to the bus stops.

The Committee recommends that this two-hour Zone be
implemented in order to assist the merchants.
