Administrative Staff of the Recreation Department is getting short of space at the Recreation Centre and possibly the Old Library Building might be used for this purpose. Moved by Aiderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Mabbett: That as recommended by the City Administrator, February 16th, 1978 the Administrative Staff of the Recreation Department be relocated to the Old Library Building. Defeated... Mayor Campbell and Alderman Laking voted in favour of the resolution. Discussion ensued on the need for larger office space for the Recreation Department Administrative Staff and Alderman Mabbett asked that the City Administrator prepare a report on the cost of renovation of the Recreation Centre Office for the Administrative Staff and the renovation and operation cost of the Old Library Building if the Administrative Staff moved from the Recreation Centre. Alderman Ranger asked that a study be done prior to looking into the cost, to see if there was actually a need for larger premises. Moved by Alderman Mabbett: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk:.
