BY-LAW NO, 5288 A by-law to ameod “Surrey “Business License By~law, 1976, No. 4747". The Municipal Council of The Corporation of the District of Surrey, in open meeting assembled, ENACTS AS FOLLOWS:~- 1. Section Twenty (2G) of By-law No. 4747 is hereby amended by inserting the following Sub-section (1) immediately after the existing Sub-section Ck): Section_20(L) . . The operation of a discotheque shall be subject to the following requirements and regulations? (i) Hours of operation — a School day matinees ~ 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. (b) Non-sechool day matinees - 1:00 p-m. to 10:00 p.m. (c) Evenings ~ 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.” a " (In cases where the evening session precedes a non-school day the hours of operation may be 6:00 p-m. to 12:00 p.m.) (ii) Matinee dance sessions may be attended by either the 12 to 14 year age group or the 15 to 18 year age group but under no circumstances are both age groups to attend the same dance session. , Evening dance Sessions may be attended by the 25 to 18 year age group only. (iv) If a matinee and evening dance is to be held on the same day, they must pe scheduled so 4s to provide one clear hour between the time the matinee dance session ends and the time the evening dance session begins. (v) Except for management personael only those persons falling into the age groups in (ii) and (iii) shall be permitted to enter the discotheque. s (vi) No person shall be permitted to re-enter the disco- theque during the same dance session. (wii) No alcoholic beverages are to be consumed or kept on the premises. (viii) No person shall be permitted to have alcoholic beverages in his possession on oF about the premises. No drunkenness OF disorderly conduct shall, be permitted on the premises. , (x) Que male and one female adult shall be on the premises at all times for the purpose of providing supervision. For the purpose of thig sub-section an adult shall be coa~ sidered tobe a responsible individual over the age o€ 25 years. (xi) The interiog and exterior of a discotheque shall be fully illuminated at all times during its operation.
