Hite work ia very exciting, with a fine attention to the detail of the drawing on the surface and hia use of unusual low- temperature surface enrichment teckniquea with a histerical basta, but used with a vibrant fresh approach. Frank's workshop will be concerned with the making, decorating, and firing of hts ptecea in terra stgtlilata. Some firing of the pteces with be done to enable the process to be shown from beginning ta end. He will alao be talking and demonstrating the processes of drawing and their application to form. Part of the workshop will be devoted te slide presentations on his owm work, and to historical examples of the terra etgillata technique. He will also be talking about sedium vapour firing in oxidation and reduction. Tite workshop promises to be a very exciting one, and will be neld at the LESTER B, PEARSON COLLEGE OF THE PACIFIC, VICTORIA, 8.C., on SATURDAY and SUNDAY, 7th and &th May 1983, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m, approximately. The fee for thts workshop will be $30. and will thelude Lunches on botn days. There will also be the uaual B.Y.O.8. get-together on Saturday eventing Chea Hopper. Any profit from thie workehop will be ehared between Pearaon College Art Department, and the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, where a fund has been eatablished to purchase fine examples of Canadian Contemporary Crafts.
