Recommendation:

1. That the rental application for the youth dance be approved
under the following conditions:

a) The facility must be rented by adults (19 and over),

b} Damage deposit be inereased from $150 to $250 and that
the applicant be charged the commercial rental rate,

ec} Building security must be provided at a rate of one
adult for every fifty tickets solid. These people must
be responsible adults, readily identified and must
regularly patrol the rental facility and the grounds
cutside,

d) Tickets may be sold at the door,

e) There will not be any aleohol or other intoxicants
allowed on site or in the building.

ft) The Parks & Recreation Department will notify the
R.C.M.P. of this event.

g) Entrances and exits must be controlled by responsible
adults,

Background. & Comments:

The Parks & Recreation Department has received a facility rental
request for Hyde Creek Centre Gymnasium for June 24th, 1988. The
purpose of the dance is for a "year end" dance for school aged
children, grades eight, nine and ten, who attend George Pearkes,
Mary Hill and Hastings Junior High Schools. Entertainment will be
provided using taped music.
