SUBJECT: Crown Land Application - Reeve Street Park

RESOLUTION:

“THAT the application for Crown Land relatifig to all those °*
portions of the original main channel and the east channel of
the Coquitlam River in and adjacent to District Lots 170 and
174 and 305, Group One, New Westminster District,. shown
outlined red on the Plan attached to the said application be

and the same is hereby approved;

THAT his Worship. the Mayor and City Clerk. be" authorized to sign
the said appiication on behalf of. the City and to affix the

Corporate Seal thereto;

AND THAT the Council herewith expresses its understanding that
the Grant of Crown Land will be made for Municipal Park
Purposes and the Counci! also expresses its agreement that the
adjacent land, outtined yellow on the plan attached to the
application wil! be used for Municipal Park purposes. :

BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:

The Plan referred to in the application mentioned in the
resolution above wil! be on display in the Council Chambers.
Council’ will) recognize .this application.as being another step. |
Towards: obtaining ownership of all. the property covered: by the. -
‘Reeve Street Park Development Plan recently approved. by

Council.

This ts not by any means the last step In the procedure and as
further progress is made Counc!! will be asked to take other
formal steps that. will eventually lead to acquisition and:
control by the City of the entire Reeve Street Park area.
