4. 3 PROPOSAL TO THE PORT COQUITLAM COUNCIL Senior citizens in Port Coquitlam are served by the Western Society for Senior Citizens! Services. The Western Society requests that the City of Port Coquitlam provide a grant of $500.00 in 1984 for the Seniors' Bureau. The grant will: assist the Society in continuing to provide services, for seniors in Port Coquitlam including: information and assistance with applications for Guaranteed Income Supplement, pensions, S.A.F.E.R., B.C.Medical Plan; housing, rental and legal information; income tax filing; outings for seniors homebound or ‘in care facilities. iil also make a strong stateme this key community agency. cations for funding from foundations and government, and in its community fund-raising efforts.
